#EmpowerHer17 Conference

Last week, I attended 21Ninety's EmpowerHer Panel Tour - a 3 city tour leading up to the 2-day conference that is being held in Chicago on June 9th and 10th! The panel was moderated by Blavity founder Morgan DeBaun and featured local influencers Jasmine Katrina, Kenya Raymer, and Renee Watkins. One of my biggest takeaways from each of the ladies was that it is so important to do what fulfills you and makes you happy. Many of you might not know, but I work full-time. My job is just that...a job. I don't feel fulfilled during my day-to-day BUT it pays the bills and for that I am thankful. Sometimes it is hard to find the balance between work, I Am Kay Elle, my NEW BRAND (Our Elevated Journey) that I just launched with Si, and life in general. However, hearing the ladies be so transparent and candid provided more encouragement than they know to me and I am sure the other attendees as well.
