{RECAP + GIVEAWAY} Dollar General A Day of Beauty

The 3rd Annual Dollar General A Day of Beauty was nothing short of amazing! First, let me start by mentioning that the event was held in a much larger space than the previous two years and it was still full! The line was so long, that I could not even see the end of it. This year's event theme was Beauty from the Inside Out! and seeing all shades of people and hair types attend the event was truly a beautiful sight!

Once the doors opened and everyone rushed in, they were able visit the beauty booths and not only get products to fill their bags but also see demonstrations, listen to Q&As, and receive beauty applications. I loved all of the booths, but I must share my faves and let you know why they stood out. Up first, the Pantene and Olay booth was set up so beautifully. They had a white faux fur rug laid out on the ground with black and gold accent pieces. Chukie Amos who is a celebrity stylist was doing live demonstrations using the Pantene Gold Series - and was SUH-LAYING every single style! Felicia of This That Beauty hosted the Q&A for Olay which highlighted the importance of wearing sunscreen.

At Broadway's booth, guests could get lash or press on nails application. The lashes ranged from natural/everyday to fun and flirty. It seemed as if the ladies really loved this booth because the line was never short!

I have always loved Luster's Pink Shampoo & Conditioner so I was very happy to get some new products to try from their hair care line. Their photo booth was so much fun and was filled with a lot of props. S Curl is also under the Luster's brand and their section of the booth featured live demos of products and even hair cuts!

With the theme of Beauty from the Inside Out, it's only right that several people took the main stage who shared their stories, encouragement, and inspiration - these individuals included Kim Field, panelists, and soul singer Vivian Green - who rocked the house!!
