Photoshoot with Arin Phillips
I received a complimentary session in exchange for sharing my experience. All opinions are my own.
I met Arin a while back at an event and immediately loved her energy! When she reached out to collaborate on a photoshoot, I knew that I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Arin is a photographer with years of experience. Although she has experience shooting various age groups and types of photography, right now she is focusing on women ages 25-35. Most adults haven't had a photo session since High School, and Arin feels that "we have SO much to celebrate. This age group has graduated (again), moved into an apartment, met someone special, changed career paths, fallen and picked ourselves up again. We have accomplished SO much, yet we don't really celebrate it." I completely agree!
Before the shoot, we discussed the vision and outfits. On shoot day, I brought more than enough options because choices are a MUST. We settled on the three looks, and it was time to shoot! One thing I loved about shooting with Arin is that she asked what music I wanted to play in the background during our session which made me very relaxed and ready to get my Tyra Banks' smize on.
Truth Moment: Even though I am always in front of the camera getting photos for my blog and social media, I am still awkward when it comes to posing - y'all know I would rather be talking to the camera and hosting! I was happy that Arin made me feel comfortable and directed me throughout the session.
She really believes in making everything from the consultation to selecting your top photos an experience. Once the images are ready, you get to have a Photo Reveal! She gets your favorite wine or sparkling cider, plays your favorite tunes, and makes you feel as special as you did on the day of the shoot! After selecting your images you have the option of having them printed which I highly recommend!!! There is no minimum purchase, so you can order prints for yourself, parents, grandparents or even friends!
I agree with her in that "our last professional photos shouldn't be from our yearbook." So if you are in the Nashville or surrounding area, I highly recommend booking a session with her AND if you do you will receive 10% off (just mention this blog post)!!
